For Swachh Bharat Mission – Urban, Assam, we were tasked with creating, designing & dissemination of information through innovative campaigns on various social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram & Twitter. Our primary aim was to publicize & generate awareness about Swachh Bharat Abhiyan as well as encouraging the general public to vote for their state in Swachh Survekshan 2021. We wanted to generate maximum awareness about health, hygiene & sanitation of the state. Publicity through LED Vans in 96 Urban Local Bodies across Assam for Swachh Survekshan 2021 was also implemented during this campaign.
Quizdom 2013 & 2014
Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA) conducted a photo exhibition on disaster management and preparedness. It also included various ASDMA and DDMA activities along with a State-level Quiz Competition which included all 27 districts of the state with participants from 800+ schools. Our agenda was to reduce, or avoid the potential losses from hazards, assure prompt and appropriate assistance to victims of disaster, and achieve rapid and effective recovery. We aimed to promote sustainable livelihoods and their protection and recovery during disasters and emergencies by conducting the state level quiz competition among school students.
GEMEx 2015
The Guwahati Emergency Management Exercise (GEMEx 2015) was a week-long preparedness exercise by the State Government in association with Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA). This exercise was designed to harness the strengths and capabilities of the State emergency responders, educational institutions, hospitals, humanitarian agencies as they prepare to meet the urban catastrophes in the city of Guwahati.
Cop Quest
As part of the celebrations of the Assam Police Day, a state level quiz competition titled ‘Cop Quest’ was organised by Priya Communication for the year 2018 and 2019 among the students to increase awareness among the youth of the various activities carried out by the Assam Po-lice and aware the children on personal safety, drug abuse, violence etc.
18 Degree
With the motto - ‘Lets Create Culture’, 18 Degrees added a new colour to the ‘Abode of Clouds’-Meghalaya’s vibrant and diverse cultural heritage marking Shillong as its epicenter. It became the cultural melting pot for three days where East Met West with high degree of cultural embellishment.Photography, Fashion Show, Quiz, Live Music, Motorcycle Freestyle Show, Bboying (Breaking), Graffiti Painting, Cartoons, Live Art Installations, Crafts & Scale Modeling, Music workshops are few of the many activities which took place in the three days of fun, festivity and intense competition. The presence of stalwarts from different fields in media, theatre,music like Barry O' Brien, Makarand Deshpande, Keshav, Susmit Bose, Kara Grainger, Anoop Negi, and Swati Agarwal enhanced the fervour and merriment to the festivities.
Election Commission of India
In an endeavour to extend electoral awareness to the masses, several initiatives were carried out by the Election Commission to spread the awareness message on voting. One such initiative witnessed the coming together of five sand artists who lend their creativity in making a large size sand art installation (40ft*20ft) near the bank of Brahmaputra. Illuminating aware-ness, people lit earthen lamps at the location creating a large sized image of Assam's map and encouraging people to participate in the upcoming event with the message “Let’s Vote”. Sev-eral other initiatives included street plays, mime acts, flash mobs, puppet shows, cyclothon, innovative awareness campaigns, various outreach activities, etc. The main idea behind it was to increase voter participation from all sections of the society and a humble attempt to make every voter aware of the importance of voting rights and make them participate in the ongo-ing festival of democracy.
Guwahati Heritage Drive
This was an initiative by District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) and District Administration, Kamrup Metro. This comprised of an exhibition on a bus displaying of photographs of both the old and the new Guwahati city.
Richter 8.1: Awareness on Wheels
In the pursuit of spreading awareness related to earthquake safety and preparedness, Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA), conducted this awareness programme. The name “Richter 8.1” was coined to evoke interest from the people and also to represent the intensity and significance of the said programme. The campaign involved extensive tours conducted across many schools situated in the district of Kamrup (Urban& Rural). During the course of the programme, around 80+ schools were visited. For this very purpose, a bus (Awareness Ride) was inducted which was very meticulously designed, modified and decorated exclusively to cater to the needs of the awareness programme. The campaign was well received and highly appreciated by the students in particular and the public in general.
ZOVE – V: Earthquake Awareness Programme 2016
The city of Guwahati falls in Seismic Zone V, susceptible to earthquakes of major intensity. To raise awareness and facilitate preparedness, the Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA) organized “ZOVE – V: Earthquake Awareness Programme for Apartments”.
Brahmaputra Literary Festival
The three-day rendezvous with literature; Brahmaputra Literary Festival (BLF), witnessed participation of more than 150 Indian and international authors in 2017, 60 panel discussions, book releases, readings and cultural events, including film screenings based on books. Our primary agenda was to influence minds & capture hearts of every single booklover in the city while building a relationship with our audience. We executed end-to-end event management which included creative designing for the campaign, event branding, website designing and social media management. Strategic & innovative campaigns were carried out to engage with our audience on multiple platforms - OOH, social media & print media. We also adopted guerilla techniques and engagement strategies to promote the event. We also made it to the headlines when a bus stop was turned into a book shelter wherein one could submit an old book for a new one. The design of the entry gate with an “Open Book” exceeded the expectation of the audience. “The Big Suitcase Sized Book” with event branding placed on the baggage carousel at the Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport, Guwahati grabbed a lot of eyeballs at the airport.
